Insta-Friday

This last week was spent running around trying to squeeze in every last bit of California sunshine.  Lot's of beach time, lot's of hanging with old friends, and even a little shopping.  We sure are going to miss this.

My grandma took Savannah with her to go shop for Ryder's birthday... why was I not shocked when they came back with a gift for Ryder AND this Doc McStuffins stuff for Savannah.  Uh, it's not her almost birthday.

This kid can't get enough of his "friends".  He has to have about ten to cuddle with at bed time.

"Mom take my picture with this pirate.  I'm going to pretend like I'm dead and hanging from his hook"

Saluting Old Glory on the 4th.

Monkey girl can climb a tree like a pro now.  My grandpa has spent countless number of hours out there spotting her while she practiced her climbing.

I don't know what it is, but after we are done at the beach Savannah and I both crave tacos.  I swear, if we lived here we'd be sandy all the time, super tan, and probably insanely fat thanks to the mexican food.

Insta-Friday (Haynes/Guzman Edition)

This past week flew by... Eric and the Guzman family arrived late Friday night... we did the beach Saturday, a Father's Day cookout on Sunday, Disneyland on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and then they flew home on Thursday.  Friday I did nothing but rest.  I am exhausted.  A whole lot was packed into their visit.

Eric and Scott in their awesome Walmart Father's Day shirts we got them.  One says #1 Texas Dad and the other days Don't Mess With This Texas Dad.  Oh yes, we made them wear those gems.

Our friend Whitney came and hung out for Father's Day.  We let her and Ry entertain the kids while we had a few adult beverages.

DISNEYLAND!!!  Tried to squeeze everyone in.

Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair.  She looked absolutely beautiful.

Trying to pull the sword out of the stone never gets old.

Buzz Astro Blaster ride... Ryder's favorite ride, for sure.

Little man slept through It's A Small World

Woody, Buzz, and Princess Sofia waiting in line for the Toy Story Mania ride.

Just walking the streets of Radiator Springs, NBD.

Girl had to have these Tow Mater teeth... or so she said to me over and over.  She wore them on and off for the next two days.  I would say I got my $2.95 out of them.

While the babies napped, the adults and big kids got to do a little playing.

His face... absolute joy and excitement watching the Pixar Play parade.

Our first week of summer vacation is now complete.  Only eleven more weeks to go.

Cruising over to the pool for a swim wearing our summer best.

Savannah and her crazy cousins playing outside at Didad's house before we left for SD.

More swimming.

Then Uncle Ry Ry arrived to make the drive back to SD with us.

Arizona... and more swimming.

They are fascinated with my grandparents' house phone.  Sav thinks it's the coolest thing ever.  This (now unplugged) phone has occupied them for several hours.

School is out for the summer!  This last week was pure craziness.  Savannah had something almost everyday at school.  I am so ready for some chill time.  Only two more days and we are out of here!

Water play day at school with her BFFs.  Not sure what these girls are going to do without each other this summer.

The iPad has been my best friend this week.  I typically do not allow a whole lot of continuous time on the iPad... exceptions were made this week.  I had a lot of packing and cleaning and sewing to do, so Ryder got a lot of iPad time.  You gotta do what you gotta do, I guess.

Disney Headbandz game = totally AWESOME!  Can't you tell by the goofy grin on her face.

Savannah, Ryder, and their cousin Cheridan swinging together this past weekend.  At one point they were all going so high that the whole swing set was shaking.  Pretty sure that we were pushing that swing sets limits to the max.  Thank goodness it didn't break.

Sunday morning Home Depot run... in a bright pink tutu, of course.

She no longer fits well in a kiddie pool.  You should have seen how tight it was when I tried to squeeze in there with her.  It was hilarious.

Insta-Friday

So many activities and goings on this past week... so many pictures taken... so little free time to share them all.  Here are my favorites from my Instagram account this past week.

Pool time with my baby girl... always a good time.

best buds sharing food after swimming.  These two are an absolute mess.  I have a feeling the twos are going to be insane with these little ones.

Savannah's first season of softball is officially done.  It ended with a fun swim party and trophies at the coach's house.  Savannah is already asking when the next season starts.  Love that she loves playing ball.

Waiting in the car for sissy to get out of school is getting more and more difficult with this little man.

Savannah and her besties.  These little girls have been so supportive of each other this year... I am so beyond thankful for this friendship.  It made Savannah's days at school so much more enjoyable.

G-ma, this next picture is for you... a preview of my newly dyed (very light) hair.

We started the packing for SD process this past week.  Savannah started with her American Girl doll Alice... oh my, she wanted to pack everything for that dang doll.  I finally had to sit down with her and explain that the doll did not need an outfit for everyday.  We got it narrowed down to a handful of outfits, some shoes, and accessories.  Alice is now officially the first member of the family to be packed and ready for the road.

Another week done with means that we are another week closer to the end of school, and even better than that, another week closer to leaving for San Diego.  The next two weeks are going to be pretty crazy around here.  We have graduation and end of the year parties... plus packing and stuff.  Bring on the good times.

Saturday night's family dinner at our campsite.  Savannah and I were both pretty happy to see Ryder.  We miss that little guy when he's not around.

This next picture is absolutely precious.  Savannah and her BFF Olivia fell asleep holding hands.  I love that they make each other fell safe and happy.  So thankful that Savannah and Olivia met this year.    So thankful that Olivia has really cool parents.  Hopefully these girls have years of hanging out ahead of them.

Tuesday night we went to the Rangers game with some of Eric's coworkers.  They were all in town for a training/meeting and Eric being Eric made sure to schedule in a Ranger game for all of them to attend.  Not a shocker.  It was a good time... the kids were better than normal.  They are always good at games, but the stars aligned and they were picture perfect.  At one point Ryder went and sat on Eric's boss' lap for quite a while.  He never does that with strangers.  I don't know what was up with them... but I'll take it.

I just can't seem to fight off the Texan inside of her.  Boots at a baseball game, really???  Yes, really.  This little girl insisted.

This is what the day after staying out until 10pm at a baseball game looks like.  Sleepy cranky totally worn out little guy.
