Insta-Friday

So many activities and goings on this past week... so many pictures taken... so little free time to share them all.  Here are my favorites from my Instagram account this past week.

Pool time with my baby girl... always a good time.

best buds sharing food after swimming.  These two are an absolute mess.  I have a feeling the twos are going to be insane with these little ones.

Savannah's first season of softball is officially done.  It ended with a fun swim party and trophies at the coach's house.  Savannah is already asking when the next season starts.  Love that she loves playing ball.

Waiting in the car for sissy to get out of school is getting more and more difficult with this little man.

Savannah and her besties.  These little girls have been so supportive of each other this year... I am so beyond thankful for this friendship.  It made Savannah's days at school so much more enjoyable.

G-ma, this next picture is for you... a preview of my newly dyed (very light) hair.

We started the packing for SD process this past week.  Savannah started with her American Girl doll Alice... oh my, she wanted to pack everything for that dang doll.  I finally had to sit down with her and explain that the doll did not need an outfit for everyday.  We got it narrowed down to a handful of outfits, some shoes, and accessories.  Alice is now officially the first member of the family to be packed and ready for the road.

School Is Now In Session

Well, it's official... we now have a kindergartner on our hands.  Little miss sweet Savannah started big kid school today.  I wasn't sure how any of us were going to handle the day... I knew that I would be sad... in a bittersweet kind of way.  I knew that Eric would be all no big deal about it.  What I didn't know is how Savannah would react.  She has never really been a clingy kid... she has actually always been quite the social butterfly... so my fingers were crossed that she would waltz right into her classroom with no issues.  Thankfully, that is just what she did.  All around us kids were crying and holding onto their parents, but not Savannah.  She found her locker, found her table, sat down to color, and within a minute started talking to the girl across from her.  It was at that point that she informed me that I could leave.  Just like that.

Savannah's favorite part of her classroom... the lockers!!  She was so excited to open hers up and hang her backpack up inside.  Pretty sure that made her feel like the biggest big girl ever.

After I picked her up at the end of the day we walked around the school checking things out.  Savannah was so excited to show me where the bathrooms and drinking fountains were, and where the gym and all that was.  Girl is stoked about her new school!

Savannah's class as they were being dismissed.

And, incase you were wondering (and I'm sure you were) this is what sending a kindergartner to school looks like.  I had no idea that a crazy detailed list of school supplies was going to be sent home upon registering.  Everything was basic and easy to find, but still, who knew the little ones needed all this...??

One Week and Counting

I can not believe that in one week from today I will be taking my little baby girl to her first day of Kindergarten.  I have to admit, I am a borderline mess over it.  The last five and a half years have flown by... it doesn't even seem right that it is already time for her to go to big kid school.  So bittersweet.
