Entry #2

So here is my second entry for the Lil Blue Boo & Dharma Trading Design Challenge. Again, I used the Sienna dress pattern from Lil Blue Boo. These dresses turn out so cute... it is hard to not make a hundred of them for Savannah. To embellish this dress I used a heart shaped scrapbook punch to make heart stencils with freezer paper. When the stencil was ready to go I ironed it on the red portions of the dress and applied several coats of white fabric paint. I was so happy with how the hearts turned out. I was worried about the paint bleeding through... but it ended up turning out GREAT! Now the fun part... accessories! Since it has been so cold, I made some Valentine's leg warmers to match the dress. Savannah's aunt Amanda made Savannah's pink cap and Valentine's bow. She also made Savannah's awesome blinged out heart shoes. LOVE THEM! They are so sparkly and beautiful. The whole outfit was perfect for Valentine's day!
