Brownies

Our new Girl Scout year is now underway.  Savannah bridged at the end of last year from Daisies to Brownies.  Lots of exciting and fun things are in store for our troop this year.  We are ready to take the Brownie world by storm.  Savannah is especially excited about her new vest.  She looks so grown up and official in it; all the girls do.  They sure have come a long way in the last two years.

Real Texans Play Futbol

The most exciting part about Ryder turning three a couple months back… he is now old enough to play team sports!  I have been very patiently waiting to sign my boy up for soccer.  He is getting to play on a team with some of his friends, and so far he is loving it.  Lots and lots of potential there already.

Can you spot him, number six… boy has no issues with needing to be aggressive to get to the ball.  Several kids may or may not have been shoved by Ryder's crazy shoulders and arms.  We had the opposite problem with Savannah… no aggression.  Funny how different kids are.

Check out the girl behind Ryder, she was just knocked in the face by his elbow.

Baby Lover

Our very good friends had their baby girl the other day.  Savannah has been waiting to hold that baby for nine long months.  She sat patiently in the waiting area while we waited for Nola to be born… asking me every five minutes if she was here yet.  The moment when she finally got to hold Nola was priceless.  Savannah was so happy and just beaming.  Needless to say, we have made several visits to see Nola since her birth.  Who doesn't love holding a sweet newborn.

Savannah and her uncle Scotty.  This picture makes me smile because I have the sweetest picture from when Savannah was a newborn of Scott holding her.  Seven and a half year later and Savannah is holding his newborn.  I love it.

The whole gang… baby Nola has NO idea the craziness she was just born into.

2nd Grader In The House!

I can not believe how quickly the last two years have flown by.  It seems like only yesterday that I was registering Savannah for kindergarden… second grade snuck up on us fast.  She was so excited to be back at school… she loves her teacher and has friends in her class.  All is right with the world.  I can already tell that this is going to be a great school year.
