It's hard to believe that we have already spent two weeks out here in San Diego. We have had a pretty steady stream of company since arriving, so the days have flown by. This past week we had our friends Scott and Michelle and their little baby girl Bella out here with us for the week. We were pretty much go, go, go the entire time they were here... so many pictures were taken that it was quite a task to sort through them all for this post. I officially take waaaaay too many iphone pics.
During the day on Saturday we headed up to the Stone Brewery for a tour and some beer tasting. The brewery is so beautiful and actually very family friendly. The kids chilled out while the adults ordered some appetizers and tried some of the beverages Stone had to offer.
Sunday... Father's Day, we headed downtown for our harbor excursion. The babies loved hanging with uncle Ry Ry. Especially Bella. I think she officially has her first crush. Whenever he would walk into the room or near her she would start babbling in this super girly and soft voice. It was pretty funny.
Monday we drove to a few beach towns... Mission Beach, PB, and then ended at La Jolla Cove. The boys were pretty into the Wave House bar that we stopped into in Mission. They have a wave pool that people can ride. They enjoyed watching people try that thing out... plus the bar is right on the beach, so the views were beautiful. Savannah's favorite stop of the day (and probably mine too) was La Jolla Cove. It is always fun to see the seals chilling there on the beach right next to all the people. Savannah wanted to swim right up to them.
Walking downtown with my baby girl.
Ryder did not make it through one night game. Like clock work, eight rolled around and he was rubbing his eyes and ready to sack out. Sweet boy all bundled up in the stroller. Yup, bundled... it got pretty chilly once the sun went down. A sweater and blanket were a must. We clearly are NOT in Texas anymore.
Sweet babies. Already playing so well together. The two of them had a good time crawling all over my grandparents house... getting into anything and everything that they could reach. These two are going to be some trouble makers when they are older.
Wednesday afternoon we headed out to the beach to set up camp for a couple of nights. This part of the week was probably everyone's favorite part. Camping at the beach was a huge success. Eric is already planning a full week of beach camping for next summer.
Check it out... link yourself up!
