MEXICO

Savannah survived her first of many trips south of the border. Yes, I took Savannah to Mexico. I promise, we were safe and smart about our visit. My dad has a beach house about 30 minutes south of the border that we went down to spend the night at. The house is in Calafia... which is between Rosarito and Puerto Nuevo... basically the perfect location. We were right on the beach and very close to awesome tide pools. Yesterday evening we spent a good hour or so walking through the tide pool area and checking out the sea creatures. Savannah got to pick up and hold a starfish right out of the ocean... very cool. She also touched some sand crabs and a couple sea anemones. It was so cool for her to get to see all of that in their natural habitat instead of at Sea World or something. It was awesome! Then today we woke up and headed to a few places to do some shopping and sight seeing. After that we had some lobster and headed home. I wish that we had more time to spend down there. Savannah really was good, and so so excited about everything. She would not stop talking and pointing everything out to us. Savannah even learned/spoke a little spanish. I love knowing that she will grow up getting to experience and appreciate the Mexican culture. It really is an awesome place!
