Day Of Festivities

Savannah's actual birthday was Friday the 15th. Her "day of" celebration was pretty low key. Savannah had a special surprise waiting for her when she woke up Friday morning. A couple nights before Eric and I went and got Savannah a fish tank. We set it up in our back bathroom so that Savannah would not see it while the water and fish got situated. We snuck it into her room on Thursday night after she went to bed so it would be there when she got up. It took her almost an hour after she was out of bed to realize that she had a fish tank in her room. We were in there getting her dressed and she said to me, "look mom, is that kind of a surprise for me?"... she was so excited. She loves the fish... she thinks it is so cool that she gets to feed them, and she loves to talk to them. She seriously will sit there and stare at them.

Later that day we met up with some family friends to get birthday manicures and pedicures. Savannah's only consisted of a paint job, but she doesn't know any better so she was excited just to get that. Sweet girl loved having her nails painted . She sat there with a big smile on her face watching her manicurist's every move. This is something that we are obviously not going to take her to do all the time, but I thought that it was a perfect treat for her third birthday.
