That I have been away from San Diego for so long that I forgot what the weather is like this time of year. Seriously. I did not pack enough warm weather clothes for either one of us. I did not even pack bathing suits for us. What is wrong with me. Today at the beach kids were running around in their suits and my poor kid was fully clothed. It is supposed to be in the 80's all week. I am going to go find a suit for Savannah so when we go back to the beach she can play right. The last few days have been jam packed for us. We have a bunch of family visiting with us for the week. My poor g-pa has been cooking and entertaining like a pro. While everyone was off shopping and sight seeing today Savannah and I went over to the pumpkin patch to pick out a pumpkin for her and my g-pa to carve. After we were done there we headed out to Imperial Beach to collect some sea shells and walk the pier. We sat on the pier and watched the surfers for a bit. Savannah was very into them. she asked me, "Mom, why are there no girls surfing? Can girls surf?"... Heck yes child!! I reminded her that Lilo (from Lilo and Stitch) surfs. She got all excited and said, "oh yeah! I want to surf! I am going to tell BOB that I want to learn to surf." It was hard to pull her away from the beach. I had to promise her that we would go back another day.
