Hello football season! To kick-off the season we headed up to a local restaurant/bar to watch some of the game with our friend Missy (she's a HUGE Steelers fan). While we were out Savannah had another successful public restroom experience. She came and told me on her own that she needed to go. I am so so so proud of that little girl!
Recently Savannah has been saying the funniest things. She is a very opinionated and sassy little girl. This week alone she has said several things that made me stop and say, "WOW, where did that come from?!?!". Since typically I am the only one around when she has these moments I am going to go ahead and share a couple of them. The other day she was playing throughout the house and I was cleaning with the ipod on. I wasn't in a country mood so I changed the music to some Sublime. I turned the music up and continued dusting. Savannah walked up to me with her hands over her ears and said, "This music is hurting my ears. Mom, this song is ridiculous."... Uh, excuse me?? Tell me how you really feel. Then there was today... Eric and I were watching something out in the living room and Savannah came out to tell us that she wanted us to come with her to her room. Eric and I both said no and asked her to go back to her room and play so we could finish our show. With her hands on her hips and while stomping down the hallway she said, "this is not fair!". OH MAN... Eric and I were blown away. That's some pre-teen behavior, not pre-three behavior. Too funny. The last Savannah comment that I am going to share made Eric very proud. The other night we were eating dinner and Savannah said, "I am ready for some dessert". I responded with, "I don't know where you think you live... but here we eat dinner before dessert."... before I could even finish that sentence she said (with way to much sass), "I live in Texas!!". I guess two year olds don't always pick up on the sarcasm.
