You probably have heard me say that the zoos/aquariums, etc. in the Dallas/Fort Worth area don't even compare to the exceptional exhibits that San Diego has to offer. As hard as it is to believe, I have found a place (two actually) that do not even come close to measuring up to what Dallas and Fort Worth have to offer. The Aquarium we went to today was sad. I think that my dad's salt water aquarium is more interesting to look at than the ones this place had. This place was tiny... a few reef aquariums, a couple snakes, some sting rays, and a white tiger. I do have to say that the tiger was pretty cool. The tiger was very playful... he charged the glass several times. He really made for a good show. The most annoying part of the day... having to pay an additional $4.00 a person to take a mini train to their shark exhibit. Normally aquariums have those walk through tunnels where you are totally surrounded by sharks. I love those! I love that you can take your time and look as long as you want. The train today stopped for two to three minutes in the tunnel and then took us back. LAME! The sharks are my favorite part and this pretty much killed the place for me. Savannah seemed to have a good time though. Seeing a "Nemo" fish equals a good day for her. Outside of the aquarium there are some rides and a water area. Savannah rode the carousel a couple of times and then wanted to go play in the water. We did that for almost an hour before heading back to the hotel for nap time. I guess all that matters is that Savannah had a good time. She was so excited to tell Eric all about the rays that she was too scared to touch and the sharks that were big and scary. I however was pretty disappointed. I am not sure what is on the agenda for tomorrow. We might take it easy and just head over to the park across form the hospital where Eric is working. They have some pedal boats and stuff that you can rent. I think that Savannah would get a kick out of that.
Checking out what she called the polka dot ray... she loved this thing.
Watching the tiger play.

The tiger is behind us. Savannah was scared to be that close to the glass because the tiger charged a group of kids minutes before.
