We signed Savannah up for swim classes through the city of Arlington. We go M-F for two weeks, 25 minutes a class. Pretty good deal. Savannah's first class was this past Monday. We really lucked out, there are only two kids on her class. So Savannah gets a ton of time with her instructor. The kids are not learning anything crazy... just the basics... going under water, kicking, back float, blowing bubbles, climbing out of the pool, pencil jump into the pool, the doggie paddle... and so on, you get it. She is doing very well. She swims (while being held) under water with no fear and she loves to jump in the pool. The big thing she does so well is the doggie paddle. It's not perfect yet, but it soon will be. My G-ma has been coming to the classes with us so I recruited her to take some pictures... yeah, G-ma and digital cameras do not go well together. She kept trying to look through the little view finder hole. She did get a few good pics. Since they are leaving this weekend these might be the only pictures I get of Savannah's swim classes. Parents have to go in the water with the kids her age so instead of photographing every moment of sweet Savannah learning to swim I have to actually be in the water helping her learn to swim. I will try to get someone to come to a class next week and take some.
This isn't a swim pic, but I had to post it. We were outside today and she was trying to push the wind away. It was so cute.
