This past Saturday night one of my oldest and dearest girl friends joined me and the kids for some Padres baseball. Savannah loved having Karen (who is essentially a big kid) to play with, Ryder fell instantly in love with her, and I thoroughly enjoyed having her there to talk and laugh with. One of the many things I miss about living in San Diego. I don't know if it get any better than a baseball game with your BFF.
Ryder has officially conquered the hill. He can go up and down like a champ. He also had some pretty big firsts while we were at the game. He clapped for the first time... so cute! He also stood by himself several times, each time longer and more balanced. I can not believe how close he is to realizing he can use those legs of his for walking.
Savannah finally was brave enough to go and play baseball with the big kids. No tee, and no adults to help... just her swinging at the pitch all on her own. Big girl status!
