One of my favorite things about the blog world is the interaction that can occur between bloggers. There are a ton of really fun opportunities out there in the blogosphere to participate in. A few weeks ago I came across this blog called The Happy Family Movement. Super cute and fun ideas for family time and vacations. I instantly fell in love with one particular idea of theirs... it's an activity, really. They are hosting a summer bucket list challenge. What's this you ask... well, it's basically a list of everything that you want to do as a family this summer. Once you create you list you can then blog and share about your family completing each item. I love that this is something that gets family out there doing things together... creating summer memories! Since the kids and I are planning on having a pretty epic San Diego summer, I figured that creating a bucket list would help me (and Savannah) make sure that we do indeed get around to doing everything that we want to while we are out there. I sat down today with Savannah and asked her to tell me some things she really really wanted to do this summer. Most of her ideas were pretty reasonable. Some (riding a dolphin around the ocean on a mermaid hunt) were not so possible. I added in a few things that I want to do with Savannah... things that I think she is old enough to enjoy now. All in all, it's a pretty sweet list. I can say without a doubt, we are going to have a blast checking each activity off. So, let the fun begin... California, here we come!!
So here it is, in no particular order... hopefully we will have crossed each and every item off by the time we need to head back to Texas. Wish us luck!
