While we were out camping at the strand Savannah got to cross try to boogie board (#22) off her summer bucket list. Once we were all suited up and ready to hit the beach Savannah instantly grabbed a board and headed to the water. That water is ice cold... girl is crazy. She acted like the water didn't phase her at all. She went out in the shallow break by herself and rode several waves. Once that got a little too easy for her Eric decided to take her out a little deeper to some bigger waves. She was loving that until she wiped out pretty good. According to Eric the wave took her under and tossed her and her board around quite a bit. She wasn't quite as into boogie boarding after that. I explained to her that the waves beating you up is part of it... and that it didn't hurt, probably just scared her and now that she knew what to expect... piece of cake. After a few hours on the sand playing with other kids she decided that she wanted to boogie board again. Just like that. I'm pretty sure she'll have it mastered by the end of summer. Up next... the other half of #22, try to surf.
