My Little Ball Player

Savannah had her first t-ball game this past weekend. She did so great! Eric and I were both so proud of how hard she played. I wish I had a picture of how dirty and sweaty she was after the game. Bless her little heart, out there in the insane heat just having a blast learning to play ball. Like every other kid on planet earth, her favorite part of the game is the hitting. She LOVES to hit. Eric said that she was bored in the outfield. She was playing a position where the ball never really got hit to, so she was just standing there for most of her time in the field. The ball did come to her at one point and she dove straight down in the dirt to get it. It was nice to see her not afraid to fall down and get dirty. I am going to say up front that I did not get the best pictures or video of the game. I was trying to not miss anything during the game, and forgot to keep up with the cameras. I am going to do better at the next game, I promise.

One of my favorite things, that I did not realize about t-ball, is how hands on the parents have to be during practices and games. At soccer, we just sit back and let the coach handle everything. With t-ball, they have parents standing at every position so that the kids have someone there to help them out. It was so fun to watch Eric out there with Savannah during her game. She loved having her daddy play with her.
