Memorial Weekend 2011

We had such a nice Memorial Day weekend. The Haynes family had some much needed relaxing quality time. On Saturday we stayed around the house and finished up some chores and then we cooked out. Sunday we had a mini swim party with some friends and family. Then on Monday Eric and Savannah practiced T-ball pretty much on and off all day. I really wish had three day weekends more often.

Pictures from our Sunday swimming. Savannah is slowly getting away from the floaties, thank goodness. Swim lessons start in a week... fingers crossed that she is swimming totally on her own by the end of summer.

I know you can't see their entire faces, but I still love this picture. If you look closely you can see the crazy father/daughter resemblance. Look at those chubby cheeks and little chin... it's crazy how much they look alike sometimes.

Monday was all about the T-ball. I have been meaning to do a blog post about Savannah and T-ball. She had been begging us for quite a while now to sign her up for baseball. She's not yet old enough for softball, so we went ahead and signed her up for T-ball for the time being. She has had two practices so far and she is loving every minute of it. Her first game is this weekend, so we'll see how that goes. I am looking forward to watching all the crazy 3 and 4 year olds run around and try to play baseball. Should be pretty funny.

After a long day playing outside, the two of them cuddled up on the couch to watch Star Wars and fell asleep instead.
