Insta-Friday

Our week long Christmas break in San Diego has come to an end.  It went by entirely too fast... a week is just never long enough.  I am already counting down to our summer visit.  It will be much longer than a week, for sure!

Savannah was so excited to see my grandparents.  This was the best picture I could get of them all together.  My g-ma throws fits if you take her picture, so I was lucky to sneak this one with my phone.  She was attempting to hide behind Savannah's head... ha!  Got ya, g-ma!

On Christmas Eve we walked a few blocks over to Christmas Tree Circle to look at lights.  Walking is always so much more fun than driving.  No traffic, you can enjoy the weather and take your time, plus, the kids can run right up to the lights.

One of the best gifts we (me and Eric) got this year... a vintage record player.  We have been wanting one for several years now, but just haven't found what we were looking for.  My dad surprised us with this.  I am in love and can not wait to get home and use it some more.

Christmas afternoon nap time.

Passed out in the recliner Christmas night with her Boo Roo and her new friends.  Santa brought her Peter Pan and Perry.  Happy happy girl... she loves her Disney friends.

The massive walk up fish tanks at Sea World are amazing.  Both kids got a kick out of standing right up on the glass.

Savannah and her Uncle Ry Ry... crazy goobers.

Thanks for a fun week Uncle Ry Ry!

Before we headed back to Texas, we had to meet up with my friend Liz and her husband and kiddos.  The girls always fall into best friend zone within minutes.  It is like they are long lost sisters.  Cracks me up how much alike these two are.

The boys are six months apart... both were crazy at the restaurant.  Feeding off of each other's energy.  Good times!

Summer Bucket List (#13 & #8)

So before we left San Diego, I did manage to get two more items checked... well, one of them (#13 collect seashells) we had been working on little by little each time we went to the beach.  We ended up with quite a few shells this trip.  The day before we left I finally got around to dumping them all out and washing them off so we could take them back to Texas with us.  I love having shells in the house... especially legit real ones from the beach in SD (not the pack you can buy at your local craft store)... reminds me of home each time I see them.

Talk about going down to the wire... the day before we left Savannah finally got to mini golf with Uncle Ry Ry (#8).  This was one of the items on our summer bucket list that Savannah was most looking forward to.  Savannah loves her some Uncle Ry Ry time.

Good things we have a few more weeks of summer left.  Hopefully we can get a few more checked off before summer disappears.
