Insta-Friday

Hello March!  February zoomed right by.  No doubt thanks to how busy we were with Savannah's troop's cookie sale.  That wrapped up this week.  We are now officially done with all of that.  It was fun, a lot was learned, Savannah did great... but I am ready to slow down a little bit.  See you next year Girl Scout cookies!

Last Sunday, the last day of the sale, Savannah and I headed up to the Walgreens to sell the last three cases of cookies that our troop had left in our stash.  It was pretty pathetic, all we had to offer to people that stopped to buy a box were Peanut Butter Patties and Peanut Butter Sandwiches.  I was blown away by how many people bought boxes anyhow.  Once I said that we were trying to sell these boxes so our troop wouldn't have to pay for them people started buying them up.  Total success... sold out in less than an hour.

While I clean he follows me around swiffering the floors.  Not a bad deal... perhaps I should actually put a cleaning pad on the bottom and see how well he does.

He is obsessed with anything that rolls... anything that he can roll and bang into something.  Boys.

These two spoiled little kiddos got a special surprise package in the mail from their uncle Ry Ry.  Savannah got an Ariel swim cover up with her name on it and Ryder got a Jake towel with his name on it.  They were both so so so excited... who doesn't love surprise gifts just because.  Those are the best.

Seriously, those eyes... that smile... that hair.  Love that handsome little man.

Only One Week Left!!

We have been living Girl Scout cookie sales for the last five weeks.  It has been an insane learning experience for all of us.  I already have big plans for next years sale.  For now though, we have one more week to try to sell the remaining cases we have hanging out in our kitchen.  Wish us luck!

A Complete Cookie Takeover

There is so much going on in our lives right now... so much to blog about and share.  Savannah is excelling at school (both socially and academically), Ryder is changing and growing and finding new and very irritating ways to challenge mommy and daddy each and every day.  Seriously, the things that this boy does on a daily basis could very easily take up several blog posts.  I have pictures and videos saved to share... I do really.  I just have not had the time.  On top of fighting a very persistent cold, I am in complete cookie mode around here.  Sounds silly... laugh it up, but it's for real.  It's one thing if your daughter is simply selling Girl Scout cookies... it is a whole other experience if you are the parent who is in charge of all the girls in your troop who are selling cookies.  I don't mean that in a negative way at all... I am loving the experience.  I love working with the girls and I especially love helping and teaching Savannah about goal setting and selling.  With that being said, I will approach this whole process differently and way more prepared next year.  Live and learn... I promise I will be back to regularly blogging soon.  In the meantime, you know you want to order some cookies from Savannah!
