A Day On The Mississippi Gulf Coast
Since Savannah was on Spring Break this past week, we decided it would be fun to tag along with Eric to Mississippi (he was going for work). So while Eric worked during the day, the kids and I went out and explored what Mississippi had to offer... which honestly, is not a whole lot. One of the days we drove the two hours down to the coast so we could spend the day at the beach. Woo hoo!! Savannah was beyond excited to get to play in the sand. Ryder wasn't so sure about the whole situation. One minute he was totally content in the sand playing with Savannah, and the next he was wanting out of the sun. They had these cool little umbrella bench things that you could rent for the day, so I went ahead and payed the $25 for the day so that I would have a comfortable shaded area to nurse and then put Ryder down for a nap. Turns out that was money well spent. All in all it was a fun day. I'm glad that I got to see the Gulf coast... I am pretty sure that once was enough though. Now I am just counting down the days until we head out west and get to spend our days on a real beach.
