Insta-Friday

I love getting to share all the random pictures I take on my phone. I seriously never realized how many pictures I take a day. Thank goodness for Insta-Friday, otherwise I probably wouldn't be sharing pictures of our day to day on a regular basis. Love my iphone, love my pictures, love Insta-Fridays!

Valentine's cupcakes... baked by dad, frosted by mom, decorated with sprinkles by dad. Savannah gets irritated with my constant picture taking at times. Probably because of moments like this... Savannah was about to bite into her cupcake, and I yell, "No wait! Smile, please."... she smiles and then says, "Can I eat it now, or what?!".

Savannah loves a good craft. She gets so excited when I tell her that we are going to work on something together. On Sunday we spent some time painting these bad boys for some pretty pretty necklaces for Valentine's Day. Savannah did all the painting... my only job was to inspect her work when she was done and smooth out any paint clumps. She hasn't quite figured out that when painting, sometimes less is more.

This boy turned 6 months old this week. Crazy.

Ryder had his 6 month check up on Monday. Our pediatrician confirmed what we already know, Ryder is big... huge actually... off the percentile charts, literally. He has assured me over and over that it is nothing to worry about. Ryder is just going to be a good size boy... in the words of our pediatrician, "built for football". Infact, this weekend Eric and I need to start shopping for a new car seat. Ryder has outgrown his infant one and it is no longer safe to put him in it. Good times.

Tuesday and Wednesday were so nice here. It was sunny and in the 70's. Savannah got to wear skirts and short sleeve shirts to school. Ryder got to go in just a onesie. We are so ready for warm weather! After school on Tuesday, in honor of the perfect weather, we headed to Sonic for a half priced slush. Had Ryder not been napping at that time, we would have gone to the park too. Maybe another day.

I am always torn when it comes to decorating for Valentine's day. It is such a short lived holiday, that it kind of seems like a waste. This is the first year that Savannah has been on my case to put up some Valentine's decorations. I did not want to go buy any, so I went out and looked in our spring tub in the garage to see if maybe we had something I could put up. I was very pleasantly surprised to find a brand new Valentine's shower curtain and hand towel. I had forgotten all about this beauty... purchased for 75% off at Target after Valentine's day two years ago. Sweet! I love it, I might want to leave it up year round.

Linking up... go check out everyone else!
