I Love My Padres

Today was perfect... the weather was beautiful, the girls were well behaved, Liz and I got to catch up, kids got to run the bases, and I was surrounded by lots and lots of Padres fans. In a perfect world every Sunday afternoon would be spent like this. Savannah's previous base running experience is starting to pay off. She knew exactly what to do when we got down on the field. In fact, she started off running the bases alone... after realizing that Bella was a little scared to get out there and run Savannah then stopped running. Thankfully two Padres employees came to the rescue and grabbed the hands of both girls and took them around the bases for us. Savannah has now ran the bases at two stadiums... pretty cool considering most kids won't ever do this at one stadium, let alone two. A while back one of my girlfriends and I talked about how cool it would be for Savannah to get to run the bases at every ballpark. Probably impossible... but still a cool idea. Maybe we can shoot for Houston next.

The coolest part was getting to see Savannah up on the jumbo tron. Just about every kid was up on the jumbo tron for a few seconds before they got to home. Made me smile.
