This next picture cracks me up because it pretty much sums up what Savannah has been into lately... Toy Story (the underwear) and baseball (the glove and poster behind her). She loves playing baseball with her little bat and glove. She told me that she wants to play baseball like the Rangers. That poster behind her was a freebie for kids at the ballpark... yes, it does say "Hispanic" on it... it is actually a "Hispanic Heritage" poster. When we got home from the game Sunday Savannah went straight to her room and called me in to show me where she wanted to hang the poster. She wanted it right by her bed. I loved hanging up that poster for her... reminded me of all the Chipper Jones posters I had hanging by my bed when I was younger.

New Underwear
Now that Savannah is out of diapers and officially potty trained I realized that she did not have enough panties to last her more than a week. Plus, she has grown into a bigger size so then we were running really short on panties. So the other day I took Savannah to the store so she could pick out a few packs of fancy new panties. She was very excited to buy new big girl panties... she was telling everyone in the store that she was going to get panties. So we get to the little kid underwear isle and she starts to pull off all the girl panties... Disney Princess, Dora, Minnie. Then she stops and says "Mom, I want those... up there"... I looked where she was pointing and did not see anything (by anything I mean I didn't see any girl underwear. I saw a bunch of boy underwear). I asked Savannah what she was talking about and she said, "mom, come on... the Toy Story panties". My first reaction was to say no and tell her that these were boy underwear and that girls can't wear them. I stopped myself because part of me really hated the idea having to tell her that this was a "boy item". She is always telling me that she can't do this or play with that because it is for boys. I spend a lot of time explaining to her that girls can do, play, and wear anything that boys can. Seriously, this topic comes up with everything from surfing, to baseball caps, to matchbox cars. So in the spirit of girls can do anything that boys can I let her get a pack of Toy Story underwear. Really, what's it going to hurt... plus, she loves them! The smile on her face when we got home and she immediately put on her new Toy Story underwear was awesome. For two days she has run around the house showing off her Buzz and Woody underwear. I love them!
