Who knew that picture taking was forbidden at movie theaters... well, now Savannah and myself are both well aware of that rule. Thanks to Cinemark and their stickler of a manager I now know that taking pictures in the theater lobby is in violation of "corporate policy". Savannah and I were in the lobby killing time before Alice in Wonderland started. There was a huge poster for the new Toy Story movie right in the center of the lobby. Savannah was in love with it. She talked to Woody and Buzz for a bit and then came over to me and asked if I would take her picture with them. Of course I said yes. I pulled my camera out and took a few. Right as I was putting the camera back in my purse a manager came over and told me that picture taking was not allowed in the theater lobby and that he would appreciate it if I would delete the pictures that I had just taken. I seriously did not know what to say. I found the whole thing too ridiculously funny to get mad, so I said okay and then walked away with Savannah. Savannah also found the situation funny. She was very quick to say, "mommy, you got in trouble"... she laughed and laughed. Little toot. That is all that she could talk about... as soon as our friends showed up she told them that "mommy got in trouble". For the record, I did NOT delete the pictures. In regards to the movie... Alice in Wonderland was so good. Savannah had seen the trailer on TV and was so excited to see it. She even begged to wear her Alice costume from Halloween to the movie. She said that she wanted to "match Alice" (so much time was spent making that dress that it really didn't bother me. I am a fan of her getting more than one wear out of it). I was a little worried that the movie might be a little too scary for Savannah, but she loved it. I really think being familiar with all the characters and plot from the original Disney classic helped her understand the movie and enjoy the characters in it rather than being afraid of them. I am sure that the movie is going to scare some kids... I am just grateful that mine is not one of them.
