This past weekend we attended the annual Christmas in the Stockyards celebration. I have wanted to go the last couple of years but for one reason or another we never made it. This year though I made sure our Saturday was clear so we could go. I am so glad that we did... Savannah loved every minute of it! She walked right up to Cowboy Santa and told him that she wanted a "pink Barbie house". Santa asked her if there was anything else that she wanted and Savannah said, "Nope. A pink Barbie house". Cracked me up. On top of the very cool Santa they had face painting, pony rides, chicken lassoing, and armadillo races. Savannah's favorite activity by far was the armadillo races. She stood right up against the fence and was so excited to see them race. She was too scared to volunteer to be one of the people that gets to race the armadillos. I tried to get her to do it with me but she said she just wanted to watch. Oh well, maybe next year.

This is the best picture I could get of Savannah watching the armadillo races. Do you see the armadillo??

This weekend Savannah and her daddy also baked some gingerbread cookies. Savannah was so excited to help her daddy. She actually did a lot of the work herself. She even picked out a dog bone cookie cutter so that Mae Mae could have a cookie too.

We love Christmas in the Stockyards!! We have gone the past 3 years, this year we arrived later than usual and missed Cowboy Santa and the face painting. Glad y'all had fun!!
I actually saw you 3 walking down Main Street while we were driving. So now, I have actually seen you in person!!!
That is one awesome Santa! P.S. Nice Texas cookie cutter. I'm officially on the lookout for a California one just for Savannah. :)
