So Brave!!

Savannah and I used our second day admission to Sea World today. This time around Savannah was so BRAVE. She wanted to touch everything... and it took no arm twisting from me. We spent a good hour at the sting ray pool. One of the guys next to us had bought squid to feed to the sting rays, several trays full of squid. His kids were very nice and offered up some to Savannah. Once Savannah saw the other kids feeding the sting rays she jumped right in. I was so shocked... feeding a sting ray isn't like feeding a dolphin. You don't just drop a fish in their mouth... you have to hold the squid under the water and feel for the sting rays mouth which is located on their underside. This is a very tricky task that Savannah managed to master. Her second favorite part of the day was the star fish, no surprise there. She was all over that place picking up every single one she could find. Her third favorite part of the day were the dolphins. The dolphins probably would have been her favorite part of the day but we had a little incident with the dolphins that made her a little bit mad. We were hanging out at the dolphin pool during the Shamu show (FYI, great time to do other things in the park... everyone is at the Shamu show so everything else is wide open!) and because we were pretty much the only ones there the trainer brought some dolphins over for Savannah to touch and feed. While we were petting them one of the dolphins squirted water in Savannah's face... twice. These dolphins were close... I'm talking a foot away, if that. Savannah was soaked. It was so FUNNY!!! She didn't cry or anything, she handled it very well. She actually thought it was kind of funny that the "poopy dolphins spit on her". It was awesome! I really can't say enough how much I love Sea World.

Star Fish... Sea Stars... call them what you like
