KENTUCKY

After 13 long hours in the car we finally made it back home from "Huckey Tucky". Thankfully Savannah is a pretty good traveler so we typically enjoy road trips together. The three of us had such a great time. Eric's KY family is a blast! We are always so bummed when we have to leave. This trip out there went especially quick because we had so much going on. There was Thanksgiving and then all the wedding activities. Eric's cousin Timmy was getting married on Saturday so there was a lot of prep that went into that. Everything turned out great and the wedding was beautiful. I'm sure that all parents tend to think this of their kids (maybe not, I don't really know)... what I do know is that Savannah is a really good kid. I never dread taking her anywhere because I know that she has such a great personality and no matter the situation she is so well behaved. Don't get me wrong, she has her little brat moments... but for the most part I have no problems with her when we are out and about. After Thanksgiving dinner some of the family headed over to work on decorating the reception hall. We were there for several hours... Savannah kept herself entertained and stayed out of everyone's way. I was so impressed. She even did great at the wedding... she danced and played so hard that she passed out half way through the reception. Thankfully her "farm grandma" held her so Eric and I could dance and have a good time. As happy as we are to be home I know that we all would have much rather stayed a few days longer. Hopefully we will be making it back for another visit real soon!

Thanksgiving day

Savannah's cousins... these boys are CRAZY! She had a blast running around with them.

Look who was at the local Wal-Mart... SANTA!! Savannah was not scared at all. She had been telling me for weeks that she was going to sit and tell Santa what she wanted for Christmas. She kept telling me that she was not going to be scared. She told me today that she needs to go back and see Santa again because she needs to tell him more stuff.
Eric took us to see where his grandfather is buried. Even though Savannah did not understand where we were I know that it was a special moment for Eric.
The wedding day...

Thank you Black Friday for our new best friend. We bought a travel dvd player. So far it has been awesome. Savannah watched movies off and on the entire way home. I love it!
