Home Again

So while we were away fall arrived at our house. It was so nice to come home to a front yard full of leaves. I love that there are seasons here! To make it even better we have that new swing in the front that I can sit and drink my coffee on while Savannah plays in the leaves. Last Friday Savannah swept the leaves off the walk all by herself... I just sat on the swing and watched. It was so nice. It's taken about a week but Savannah and I have both adjusted to life back in Texas. The first few days we both were kind of out of it... she was getting over her ear infection (which now seems to be alright, yeah!) and I was recovering from the flight (if you are close to me, you know what I'm talking about). Now that we are both feeling better I promise to get back on my blog "A" game. I'm going to do my best to not let a whole week go between posts. :)

This past weekend we headed down to the farm to meet the latest addition to the farm. Savannah's Papaw and Grandma went and got a horse for the farm!! An older horse who is going to get to live out his retirement years with all of us. Eric and I both rode him for a bit before letting Savannah get on... with one of us, of course. She was a little scared at first. We put her up with Eric so he could ride her around. After a few minutes she was smiling and enjoying herself. I know that with time she will get even more comfortable with the horse.

Savannah is still telling this story. Her eyes get all big and she starts talking all fast and loud about how "the cow stuck his big head into Papaw's truck to eat"... so funny!
