The 2nd Happiest Place On Earth

If Disneyland is the first, than Sea World would have to be the second happiest place on earth. Savannah and I had so much fun at Sea World yesterday. Growing up my brother and I had annual passes to Sea World... my g-ma would take us all the time. I have always been so amazed with that place and all the animals. Every time I see the trainers swimming and jumping with a killer whale it just blows me away. If you have never been to Sea World, find one near you and go!! We have one in Texas, not that far away from us actually. I have been begging Eric to take us since I moved there. Now that I have been reminded of how awesome that place is I am going to make him take us. Since it is the off season for the park it was not crowded at all... we were able to get right up on the animals with no crowd and we got awesome seats at every show. Savannah was very hesitant at first. It took a little pushing to get her to try things. Once she did, she wanted to do it over and over again. The only thing that took no arm twisting were the dolphins. She walked right up to them and tried to reach into the water to touch one. She is a little too small to do it on her own so I had to hold her while she fed them (that is why there is no picture. I was so mad about that.). The park was only open until 5 pm so we were kind of rushing to get every show and exhibit in. Luckily (since it is the off season) you get two days park admission for the price of one day... plus Savannah is still free. So we are going to go back next week to do some of the things that we did not get to this time around.

The main event... SHAMU!! Not really, descendants of actually. The real Shamu was around a lifetime ago. Savannah loved the show. She clapped and yelled every single time the whales jumped out of the water. She wanted to watch the show again. Unfortunately, during the off season there is only one Shamu show a day.

She would have stayed and watched the dolphins all day if I would have let her. She kept telling me that they were her friends and that they "loved" when she touched them.

Touching a sting ray took some pushing. It actually took the exhibit worker coming over to Savannah with some squid and showing her how the sting rays eat. After watching her Savannah was not afraid anymore.

I think that we picked up every single star fish in the tide pool. Once I showed her how to pick up one she wanted to touch all of them.
