While Savannah has been spending her rainy days reading books in her tent, I have been sewing. The down time gave me the opportunity to tackle a few projects that I had set aside. The first was a dress tutorial that I had found online. I love how it turned out! Minus the fact that I decided to add a zipper instead of making it an over the head dress. That was a mistake... zippers are a pain!! Not to mention the fact that I didn't account for the zipper in the chest measurement sooooo this dress will not fit her for very long. Bummer. Savannah was excited to finally get to wear it. The whole time I was working on it she begged me to finish her "pirate dress" (That's what she calls it. Might be because of the skulls... I don't know, she is random).

She is always wanting to show her panties off. No matter how many times I tell her that we need to keep our dresses down she still pulls it up to show that she is a "big girl".
The other project I finished was a fall twirl skirt for her. I can't wait for her to wear this with some tights and boots. The minute she put this skirt on she started dancing, and jumping, and twirling. Eric suggested that I add some blue fabric flowers to the skirt... so I might give that a try. I know that Savannah would love that!

Adorable! I love the "pirate" dress. What are you going to do when it stops raining?!
