Savannah and I have been spending a lot of time at home recently. Normally we are out and about finding fun things to do, but since I started potty training her it has been easier to stay in one place... the place that has her potty. I am just not ready to brave a public place for too long... I am dreading our first public "accident". While under potty training house arrest I have had a lot of time to work on several sewing projects. I have a ton of Halloween fabric that I bought dirt cheap at the end of last year... so I figured I would make her a few skirts and maybe a dress (still looking for a pattern I like) to wear in October. I have successfully completed several fall items... a few skirts, several pairs of leg warmers, some holiday tutus, and one dress. I am also thrilled to say (type) that Savannah is making potty training progress. We have been accident free for two whole days. Not counting night... she wears a pull-up to bed for now. I know that we still have a long way to go, but it is exciting that she is doing so much better than a week ago. Diaper free by three... that's my goal!
Here are some pictures of Savannah twirling and posing in her new skirts. The best part of making things for Savannah is that she gets so excited when I complete something. She sits right next to me while I sew and asks if it is time for her to "try it on yet". She is a great little model!
P.S. the shirt doesn't match... I am aware. She insisted on wearing her Halloween shirt since she was wearing her Halloween skirt.

Can you find my mistake? Yup, the peace signs are upside down... oops. It is going to drive me nuts, so I am going to have to fix that.

P.P.S. I want to give a shout out and a big CONGRATULATIONS to the boys from Chula Vista (my hometown) Park View Little League. Today they beat San Antonio, TX (HA, E!) to claim the title of Unites States World Series Champions. Tomorrow they play Chinese Taipei for the world title. Way to represent boys!
