What's Cookin'

More like who's cookin'... yup, Savannah played in, as she calls it, "mommy's kitchen". After dinner tonight Savannah asked me for dessert. I then asked her what she wanted for dessert. Turns out she wanted a cookie and we don't usually have cookies on hand. So I started looking in the pantry to see if we possibly had all the ingredients necessary to make cookies. Thank goodness for Quaker Oats and their super easy recipe for oatmeal cookies on their box. I was getting everything out to start cooking and Savannah said that she wanted to help. OK. I grabbed her a chair and let her stand up at the counter with me. She was actually a pretty good helper. There wasn't much she could do besides dumping the ingredients in the bowl and stirring... but let me tell you, she did those tasks very well. Sweet girl smiled the entire time we were making the cookies.




Warning to my G-ma... you might want to stop reading now. There may be a picture below of Savannah licking the spoon. My G-ma is not a fan of eating the batter because there are raw eggs in it. It is so good though! I often eat so much batter that I am too full to eat the finished product.
