Parade
One of the highlights of our recent trip to KY was getting to watch Savannah ride on a float in a Christmas parade. Every year after Thanksgiving they have the Breckinridge County Christmas parade. Local businesses and schools make floats and there are old cars and marching bands... the typical parade stuff. Eric's cousin Tim works for one of the banks in town... his bank had put together a Grinch themed float for the parade. Tim mentioned to us that he was going to be driving the float in the parade and that if we wanted Savannah could ride on it with some of the other kids. That was a no-brainer. Of course we were going to participate. We would not pass up the opportunity to let Savannah be in a parade. When we first got to the float she was kind of unsure about sitting there while it was moving. After about 5 candy canes she was a lot more excited to be on the float. She figured out that she could drop candy off the float for the people on the streets. I think she passed out a whole big bowl of candy all on her own. The two of us had a really fun time riding through town on the float. Thanks Timmy for letting us tag along!
