Halloween... Savannah Style

Savannah had a jam packed Halloween. A parade in the morning, trunk or treat in the afternoon, and then family trick or treating at night. There was even a costume change between events. That's right... we planned on Savannah being Dorothy for Halloween. The costume was handmade and beautiful. A little too nice (and white) for school parties with punch and chocolate. So, I went and got a cheap and easy school costume that if stained or damaged we could just throw away. I was able to leave work for a bit in the morning to go up to Savannah's school for the parade. OMG!! All the kiddos were so cute. I could not believe that they all walked in a line and stayed with their classes. I managed to stay hidden so Savannah did not see me. It was fun to watch her interact with her little friends. She was holding their hands and clapping. I love when she doesn't know we are watching. After the parade Savannah had a class party and then trunk or treat after nap time. She came home with a ton of candy. After school I picked her up and we headed over to Eric's uncle Wade's house to trick or treat with Eric's family. Savannah's caught on quick to opening her bag up to let people put treats inside. She loved stopping and looking at all the decorations in people's yards. She would point out the ghosts and skeletons... there were a few times where she said, "I scared" about something at a house. There was a man with a chainsaw that she stood and watched forever. Strange. Anyhow, Savannah had a good Halloween. Next year since Halloween is on a weekend we have decided that the plan is to go to San Diego. Get ready Grandpa BOB... you'll be on trick or treating duty! I already can't wait until next year! Hope everyone else had a happy Halloween.
