Weekend Away

I know I say this all the time, but this week seriously was crazy. Between dealing with a nasty stomach virus, getting ready for our big weekend trip, celebrating my birthday, and trying to get Savannah to do breathing treatments... Eric and I are drained. At the beginning of the week my grandma, me, and Eric all caught some funky stomach thing. Thankfully it was of the 24 hour nature so we were not laid up long. Then Wednesday we had a very full day of Happy Birthday to me! My free time today was spent getting all my stuff packed and ready for my flight in the morning. Eric and I are heading to Connecticut this weekend for my friend Sara's wedding. Sadly, (though at the same time, not so sadly) Savannah will not be joining us. She is staying behind with my grandparents until we get back Sunday night. Moving on to the breathing treatments.... what a pain! Savannah has had a really bad cough that her doctor has been treating for a few months now. Finally this week it got so bad that we had to take her back to see him. Her doctor thinks that it might be asthma or it might be bronchitis. He gave us a machine to do breathing treatments three times a day for seven days. We will then go back to the doctor and he will see if she has improved. Based off of that visit, he will determine what exactly is going on with her. Poor baby... sometimes she sits there and does so well, then other times she cries and kicks when we try to put the mask on her. Hopefully this isn't something we are going to have to continue.
