We're quickly making progress on our summer bucket list. A few nights ago we took Savannah to eat at Corvette Diner (#19). This was one of the items on our bucket list that I added on my own. Growing up it was always one of my favorite places to go and eat. My dad took us all the time, once I got into high school my friends and I went their pretty frequently... in fact, my surprise party for my 16th birthday was at Corvette Diner. I didn't just add it because I liked it, I actually added it because I knew without a doubt that Savannah would LOVE it. My little girl is an Elvis freak, and Corvette Diner is pretty Elvised up. They have a DJ inside that plays oldies music and takes requests from people eating there. The waitresses wear poodle skirts and other 50's type costume stuff. It really is such a fun place. Savannah is already asking for me to take her there to eat again. Maybe we can go there for our last meal out before we head back to Texas.
Inside the booths they have little TVs that play clips from old movies and music videos... a ton of Elvis was played on there. My favorite part of going to eat there is that they give you a whole bunch of straws so that you can build huge long straws to drink out of. It's some serious business. Ryder got a kick out of watching all of us construct our straws.
