Last Wednesday I took a break from all the craziness around here and took Savannah to meet up with some friends at the Rangers game. We were so excited to go enjoy a day game during the week with some fun people. Little did we know (well, Eric warned me, but I was in denial) that rain was was in the forecast. A lot of rain. The beginning of the game was great... we got some dollar hot dogs, the Rangers were kicking butt, and the kids were having fun together. Before we could get out of the third inning the rain hit. At first it was sprinkles, so we stayed in our seats and watched the game under umbrellas. The kids loved getting to sit together under the umbrellas. Then the real storm hit.... the game was delayed, and we rushed out of our seats to find cover. We tried to wait out the rain, but after about 45 minutes standing in a crowded overhang area we decided to just battle the rain and head back to our cars. Let me just tell you, rain delays and three small kids DO NOT MIX. They were going nuts... the rain brought out the crazy wild side in them. It was a pretty long and wet walk to the car, but we made it. The good news is we can trade in our tickets from that game for another one... hopefully one without rain.
