Goodbye Season Two

Savannah had her final soccer game of the season today. She was all smiles, totally happy to be out there running around with her friends... she still wanted absolutely nothing to do with the ball. Unless it is a kick-off or a throw in that girl stays out of the pack. I have asked her several times why that is and she says it is because she is "letting the other kids have a turn and it would be mean to take the ball from them". How do you explain to a three year old that you are constantly reminding to share and be play nice that all those rules do not totally apply on the soccer field. other parents out there are getting mad at their kids for the same exact thing, I actually find it funny... no need to get mad, they are just kids. I know she has it in her to perform well on the field... she does so great at practice. Her skills have definitely improved from last season... this leaves me hope for the seasons to come. It really can only get better from here! Win or lose, good or bad, Savannah has so much fun playing and I love watching her out there.
